C’River Govt Moves To Revamp Obudu Ranch

Cross  River State government said it has concluded plans to reconstruct Obudu Ranch, so as to solidify its prime position in the tourism industry.

Special Adviser to the governor on Obudu Ranch Resort, Mr Sunday Michael made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen in Calabar, yesterday.

Michael said a redesigned model of the ranch had been concluded for reconstruction work to begin.

“The essence of the project is to revitalise and reposition the resort, it is to make it a premier destination for eco-tourism.

“The redesigned Obudu Ranch Resort promises to offer world-class facilities and amenities to boost eco-tourism.

“It will showcase the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of Cross River. The project will create jobs, stimulate economic growth and increase revenue,” he said.

The governor’s aide said that the reconstruction project was a testament to Governor Bassey Otu’s commitment to developing the tourism sector. (NAN)
