Arsenal Prepare €60m Bid for Eze as Palace Eyes Big-Name Replacements

Arsenal are preparing to submit a formal bid for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, with the proposed deal valued at approximately €60 million (£52 million).

The package is expected to include an initial payment of £30 million (€34.5 million), followed by a second installment of £22 million (€25.5 million) over the next two years. Reports indicate that the Gunners have already reached an agreement with Palace on the upfront fee.

However, Palace have set their asking price for the England international at £68 million (€78 million), with his release clause set to expire at midnight on Saturday. Arsenal, meanwhile, have made it clear they are not prepared to meet the full clause.

According to Reports, Palace manager Oliver Glasner is already exploring replacements should Eze depart. One name on the radar is Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard. While Mikel Arteta is eager to retain the Belgian, incorporating Trossard into a potential deal for Eze could be a strategic move for Arsenal—likely structured as a separate transaction for accounting purposes.

Palace’s top replacement target is believed to be West Ham United’s Lucas Paquetá. The Brazilian midfielder, recently cleared of spot-fixing allegations, had a turbulent campaign but remains a highly rated talent. The 27-year-old, whose contract runs until 2025, is valued at around €63 million, and West Ham are reportedly open to a sale at the right price.

Sources further suggest that Palace could make a bold double swoop for both Paquetá and Trossard—an ambitious move that would significantly strengthen their attacking options and potentially become one of the standout transfer stories of the summer window.
