The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially appointed the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, Yilwatda Nentawe, as the substantive National Chairman of the ruling party.
The announcement was made by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who also serves as Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum. Governor Uzodimma moved the motion during the 14th NEC meeting currently taking place at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.
The motion was seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
Following the endorsement, Nentawe was immediately sworn in, marking a swift transition in the leadership of the party.
