Yobe Microfinance Bank: Buni Approves N200m To Support Economic Growth

Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni has approved N200 million for the  recapitalisation of Yobe Microfinance Bank to enable it increase its lending capacity, provide more financial services and support economic growth of the state.

The Managing Director, Dr Sheriff Almuhajir said the governor approved the sum to enable the bank meet up with the Central Bank of Nigeria’s, CBN, capitalisation requirement of N1 billion by the first quarter of 2025.

Almuhajir noted that the landmark decision is a testament to the governor’s commitment to empower entrepreneurs, small business owners and low-income individuals in Yobe State.

He commended Governor Buni for his visionary leadership and unwavering support for the people of Yobe State.

“This is a significant step towards achieving financial inclusion and reducing poverty in our communities,” he said.
