The Command announced the development in a statement issued on Saturday in Ado-Ekiti by its Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu.

According to the statement, the victims regained their freedom following sustained intelligence-driven operations and coordinated security efforts involving the Nigeria Police Force, the military, other security agencies, the Amotekun Corps, local hunters and the Ekiti State Government.

The police disclosed that the rescued individuals had been taken to a medical facility for examination and treatment to assess their health condition and ensure they received appropriate care after their ordeal.

Commenting on the successful operation, the Commissioner of Police, CP Falade Adegoroye, praised the commitment, professionalism and collaboration demonstrated by all security agencies and stakeholders involved in the rescue mission.

Adegoroye further commended residents of the state for their vigilance, cooperation and timely provision of credible intelligence, describing public support as crucial to effective policing.

While confirming the successful rescue, the commissioner stated that security operatives had intensified efforts to identify and arrest those responsible for the abduction.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Ekiti State and urged members of the public to remain alert and continue supporting law enforcement agencies by reporting suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest police station or through the Command’s emergency line, 08062335577.
