Panic and tension spread across Babanla community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State on Sunday evening after unknown gunmen reportedly abducted at least five people, including the Chief Imam of the community, in a shocking incident that has left residents fearful.
According to local sources, the attack occurred earlier this evening when the assailants stormed parts of the community and forcefully took the victims to an unknown destination.
The abducted Chief Imam of Babanla, has particularly shaken residents and religious leaders within the area.
Witnesses said the gunmen arrived suddenly and operated for several minutes before fleeing the scene with their captives.
Details about the identities of the other victims are still emerging, and the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
