The Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Yobe State. Adamu Idris Zakari, has confirmed that, the personeel are full prepared to protect the lives and property of the citizens during the nationwide protect.
He disclosed this in a Press briefing at his office in Damaturu, Yobe State Capital, on the preparedness of his personnel to discharge their statutory responsibilities ahed of the protest.
He urged officers and men to conduct themselves in an professional manner while discharging their duties.
Adamu also warn armed personnel against accidental discharge, officers and men should operates within the whims and caprices of Standard Operational Procedures ( Sop) Stipulated by the Corps.
According to him any untoward behaviours by any personnel towards a peaceful protesters will not be condone as Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has giving them Right to peaceful assembly and demonstration.
But in an event where unscrupulous element amidst the protesters may wish to hijacked the protests, that is unacceptable by law.
He said the operatives must act within the rules of engagement to put a stopped to any destruction of life and properties, particularly critical national assets and infrastructures been our Core Mandate.
Adamu further implore the law abiding youths of Yobe State to exercise more patients and patriotic not to jeopardize the relative peace been enjoyed in our dear State as he has salutes their resilience and good conduct of cooperating with security agencies in the fight against insurgency and other criminal tendencies in the State.
