In a goodwill message was e-signed on ThursdY by Oliver Patrick Ityohegh, International President of De Norsemen Kclub International where the DNKI Executive Council, on behalf of its global membership, extended heartfelt greetings to the Government and people of Nigeria, while honouring officers and men of the Armed Forces who laid down their lives in defence of the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to the statement, the annual remembrance provides a solemn opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the courage, patriotism, and ultimate sacrifices of the fallen heroes, whose legacies remain indelible in the nation’s collective memory.

The organisation praised the resilience, professionalism, and unwavering commitment of the Nigerian Armed Forces amid evolving security challenges across different theatres of operation.

It specifically acknowledged government commitments toward the wellbeing of serving personnel, veterans, and military pensioners, urging sustained and expanded welfare programmes to further strengthen national support for the armed forces.

DNKI called on Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to go beyond ceremonial observances by demonstrating continuous love, respect, and support for the military through unity, civic responsibility, and peace-building efforts.

“As we remember our fallen heroes, a nation that stands with its military fortifies its future,” the statement noted.

The goodwill message reaffirmed DNKI’s commitment to humanitarian service, national cohesion, and the promotion of values that honour the legacy of those who paid the supreme price for Nigeria.
