Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Yobe State Council has congratulated Governor Mai Mala Buni on his 58th birthday.
This was contained in a statement signed by the NUJ Chairman, Alhaji Rajab Mohammed, and the Secretary, Alhaji Alhassan Mamudo, yesterday in Damaturu.
The council commended Buni’s sterling leadership qualities, vision and dedication in moving the state forward.
“We wish to commend Governor Buni for the remarkable developmental strides that have transformed the state, particularly in infrastructure, completion of key roads and bridges linking rural communities.
“In education, we commend him for the construction of new schools and the provision of scholarships.
“In health, for the expansion of medical facilities and free maternal health programmes. And in the area of agriculture, for supporting farmers through subsidised inputs and market access.
“These achievements reflect his commitment to improve the welfare and prosperity of citizens,” they said.
The council prayed God to grant the governor more wisdom, health and success to effectively manage the affairs of the people of the state. (NAN)
