State Executives of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees ,NULGE, Osun State Chapter, under the Leadership of Comrade Dr. Nathaniel Kehinde Ogungbangbe has said its members will not resume to their duty posts today (Monday) until the Union could guarantee their complete safety.
According to Osun NULGE President, while reacting to the suspension of the strike as announced by the Association of Concerned Local Government Workers of Osun State, which is a factional group, “These self-centered and parochial people are being paid for this demonic job and that is why they have not relented in calling for resumption to duties of our members in order to satisfy their paymasters.
“The leadership of NULGE in Osun State is using this medium to appeal to our esteem members to disregard the call of these killers who are calling our responsible and well-informed members to resume to work so as to be slaughtered because where two elephants fights, grass suffers.
“It is pertinent to note that the Elected State NULGE Executives under the Leadership of Comrade Dr. Nathaniel Kehinde Ogungbangbe have decided to protect our members and ensure that their welfare is highly sacrosanct.
“The leaders of this group are no more our members because they had been suspended indefinitely from the Union because of this kind of Anti Union activities and they are yet to come out from the shock of their unexpected failure in NULGE Election of 4th March, 2025.
“It is important to know that this present Governor of Osun State, Senator Dr. Nurudeen Jackson Ademola Adeleke is performing excellently well for all the Civil Servants and Pensioners in the State.
“Despite all these giant strides, these bunch of ingrates and highly unreasonable individuals are hell-bent in destroying the peace and tranquility of our dear State. These unscrupulous elements were there when APC was ruling the State for Twelve (12) years without promotion, the party brought half salary to Osun State, aberration like Council Manager, Head of Department into our service, which are not in tandem with our Scheme of Service but they were not concerned that time”, Ogungbangbe concluded.
