Niger State-born Hajara Yakubu Jibril has joined the league of exceptionally bright young Nigerians that have won awards on the international scene.
She was recognised by Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India as the “Best Graduating African Student”.
The 21-year-old indigene of Suleja Local Government Area who obtained a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy also coasted home with Distinguished Leaders Award ,Best Female Leader, Public Service Award ,Minister for Student Welfare and Development, Global Ambassador Award ,Recognition for Outstanding Student Leadership Across Borders.
Commenting on the feat, a former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Suleja Branch, Barrister Idris Abdullahi, said the young Hajara Yakubu Jibril has made “Nigeria proud.”
In this vein, he called on relevant authorities at the state and federal level to also recognise her with a view to encouraging youths in the country, as well as those studying abroad to emulate the hard work and dedication of the multiple awards winner.
AljazirahNigeria recalls that President Bola Tinubu recently congratulated three Nigerian students, Nafisa Aminu, Rukayya Fema and Hadiza Kalli for their outstanding performance at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Competition in London, United Kingdom.
Tinubu, in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the trio as “exceptional young Nigerians” who have made the country proud.
According to him, “17-year-old Nafisa was named the overall best in English language skills; 15-year-old Rukayya emerged overall best in debate, while Hadiza clinched the Outstanding Talent Award ,gold medal”.
The President praised their brilliance and affirmed that “the nation’s future is much brighter with many of its youths as repositories of excellence”.
