Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has called on political leaders from Northern Nigeria to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the nation looks ahead to the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the 2025 Dialogue Session of the Northern Caucus of the National Forum of Former Legislators held in Abuja, on Saturday, Gbajabiamila emphasised that the North is experiencing tangible benefits under the current administration.
“President Tinubu is not just a Southern leader; he is a national leader ; he is a national leader who has carried every region along.,” the former Speaker of the House of Representatives said.
According to him, the North has seen gains in critical infrastructure, economic interventions, and inclusive governance reforms that reflect the administration’s commitment to shared prosperity.
“We are laying solid foundations today, and it is only right that the President is allowed to finish what he started,” he added.
Gbajabiamila’s remark comes amid ongoing political realignments and growing debates over succession ahead of the next presidential election.
