As a preamble to this article, it is important to watch a throw-back 2 minutes 22 seconds video clip of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu where he said, “I Am On A Mission To Free Nigeria, Not Just Lagos. They Attack Me Because They Can’t Match My Intellect.”
Can we truly reconcile the claim of wisdom in the speech with both the economic hardship and rising surge of insecurity that we are seriously facing today as a country?
Hmmmm, wisdom to afflict even his own people with severe hunger as a result of bad economic policies!!
Also, wisdom to place an embargo on Osun State from receiving its federal allocations for the past six months and therefore, subjecting the entire state to untold economic hardship; same thing Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, OBJ did against Lagos state which was widely condemned. It should be noted that Osun State is, traditionally, a civil state with many of the civil servants dependent on federal government allocations to the state that barely meets its annual budget, particularly the payment of salaries for civil servants.
Where is the wisdom and knowledge in a leadership style that desperately wants to turn the entire country to a one party state (authoritarianism in a people’s democracy), to win a re-election by all means come 2027?
Let half of the population of the country fall down and die of malnutrition related problem, and this is coupled with a rising surge in insecurity across the country; it is wisdom and knowledge to the understanding of Tinubu’s protagonists.
Ride on…….
You broke the monopoly of NEPA, but there is epileptic and poor supply of electricity across the country, including Aso Rock Villa that your administration was compelled to power the seat of government with solar panel energy that cost the tax payers whooping sums running into billions in naira.
Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, did you not tell the electorates not to vote for your re-election if you fail to solve the problem of poor electricity supply in Nigeria in less than 6 months? Today, is your administration not taking us into a deep tunnel of darkness, because you cannot do much without electricity in this digital age?
Hmmm, there is power blackout across the country.
Tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to do right with the people he swore an oath to govern. We are all mere mortals and power is transient.
In other words, why is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu desperately worried about the 2027 presidential election that is about two years from now at the detriment of good governance, than to provide basic needs like food to the people that he governs, when tomorrow is not even guaranteed?
A great king in the Holy Bible, Solomon the son of Beersheba (the wife of King David) was described as the wisest man that ever lived on the face of earth, but his so-called wisdom eventually turned out to become foolishness when he openly declared with his own mouth “vanity upon vanity, all is vanity.”
Suffice it to say, who is praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a man of wisdom in the midst of both economic downfall and the alarming increase in the death tolls as a result of the killing spree by bandits and multi terrorist groups across the country, particularly in the northern part of the country?
Yes, the so-called wisdom of men is foolishness and only the Almighty God can guarantee tomorrow. GBAM!
Tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be wary of praise singers, but to seek the face of Eledumare (Almighty God) to ask for the true wisdom to lead this country in the path of peace, stability and economic prosperity.
“If any of you lack wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” – James 1:5
Yes, methinks this President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s so-called wisdom is “riddled with faults.” Why?
“Igboro orerin.” This is interpreted as the majority of the citizenry, including children who are suffering from acute hunger and diseases caused by very poor access to affordable and quality primary healthcare delivery. This is coupled with the rising surge of insecurity across the country.
Tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to “take the bull by the horn” to do the needful, there is severe hunger in the land. This is not wisdom. Not at all.
“A stitch in time saves nine.”
Time will tell.
