All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State has inaugurated the campaign council for Ovia Federal Constituency bye-election.
The event which took place at its secretariat in Benin City, was presided over by the State Chairman,Emperor Jarrett Tenebe.
Addressing the chairmen of the various committees, Tenebe charged members to approach the campaign with seriousness in order to demonstrate that APC is prepared to deliver the 2.5 million votes that Governor Monday Okpebholo had promised to contribute to President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2027 presidential election.
The Secretary of the party, Engr Lawrence Okar, who administered the oath, charged members to deliver the APC candidate – Omosede Igbinedion on August 16, to prove to the world that APC is in full control of Edo State.
He directed that every leader must retire to their wards and unit to campaign vigorously for victory.
Tenebe added that the Youth Leader, Comrade Tony Kabaka will head the “Emergency Taskforce” to ensure total ‘compliance’ and give ground support to ensure victory.
The Director-General, Charity Amayanwo, in his vote of thanks, promised to ensure victory for the party and Igbinedion.
Chairmen of the various committees are: tbe Chairman of the Campaign Council and Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, Charity Amayaenvbo, (Director-General); Comrade Benson Edosomwan, Chairman Campaign Advisory Council.
Others are: Mrs. Angela Okpamen, Chairperson, Women Mobilisation; Afolagbade Emmanuel, Chairman, Youth Mobilisation; Scott Ogbemudia, Chairman, Strategic Planning; Comrade Orobosa Omo-Ojo, Chairman, Publicity and Communication; Frank Guobadia, Finance; Charles Oronsaye, Chairman, Contact and Mobilisation; and Osariemen Ojo, Chairman, Security.
