Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu has commended the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force for boosting the state’s operations with a new Armoured Personnel Carrier, APC.
The commissioner in a statement yesterday in Awka by the command’s spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the APC would significantly enhance the command’s operational capacity.
Orutugu said the APC would help in tackling emerging security challenges and strengthen ongoing efforts toward maintaining peace, law and order across the state.
He acknowledged the continuous support of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, whose proactive leadership had continued to reflect in the improved logistics, welfare and morale of personnel nationwide.
He reassured residents of the command’s renewed commitment to the protection of lives and property, and called for continued cooperation of the people to ensure a safe environment for all.
