Real Madrid are reportedly considering the sale of three senior players — David Alaba, Ferland Mendy, and Rodrygo — during the ongoing summer transfer window.
While the club is actively exploring options to offload the trio, the process is proving complex. In Alaba’s case, Real Madrid even offered a mutual contract termination with partial compensation, but the Austrian international turned it down, insisting he wants to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu.
All three players face an uncertain role under new manager Xabi Alonso and are not assured regular playing time in the upcoming campaign. Their absence from the squad in Madrid’s recent FIFA Club World Cup semi-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain has only intensified speculation about their future at the club.
