Alleged Misconduct: Gabam Shuns SDP Probe Committee, As NWC Receives  Report

Social Democratic Party, SDP, disciplinary committee set up to investigate alleged Misconduct and financial infractions by the suspended National chairman, Shehu Gabam and two members of the National Working Committee, NWC, has submitted it’s report to the  party’s National Working Committee, NWC, at the party’s National headquarters Abuja.

This,  is even , as the embattled National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party , SDP, Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam and the National Youth leader , Hon. Chukwuma shunned the investigative committee .

Addressing a press conference Friday in Abuja at the party’s National Secretariat while submitting its report, chairman of the disciplinary committee, Air vice Marshal Sadick Abubakar liman , Retd, said the three indicted party officers were invited to make appearance before the committee, adding that only the suspended National auditor turn in for questioning. 

He revealed that both the suspended National chairman and the National Youth leader didn’t honour the invitation.

The committee chairman disclosed that the committee made some findings and  far reaching recommendations extracted sufficient evidence from those that appeared before it.

  He charged the National Working Committee, NWC, to implement the recommendation of the committee to reposition the party for effective performance. 

Liman noted that the recommendation if implemented will impact positively on the party. 

” It is our hope that the party would implement the recommendations with a view to reposition the party to effectively and efficiently perform it’s function”

Speaking , acting National Chairman,  Alhaji Sadiq Gombe commended the members of the committee for submitting their report timely, pleading  that the committee recommendations will be studied and implemented. 

“We will do justice to the committee recommendations. We don’t know what is in the report, but , we will study it , make the recommendations public soon and implement it, he said.
