Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum yesterday made an early morning visit to the Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri to sympathise with patients.
The governor, who made some cash donation to support the patients, said the visit was to commemorate Nigeria’s 2025 Democracy Day.
Interacting with the patients, Zulum re-echoed his commitment towards providing improved healthcare services to the people.
He also visited the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, where he also extended the same gesture to support the medical bills of the patients.
Meanwhile, he will commission 20 road projects executed by his administration in commemoration of Democracy Day.
The governor also announced the commencement of the construction of two hospitals and an international conference centre in Maiduguri and Jere Local Government Areas.
The hospitals include Borno Orthopaedic Hospital sited in Goni Kachallari and a new general hospital in Kaleri, all in Jere Local Government Area.
