Niger: Obi Donates N20m To Mokwa Flood Victims

 Presidential candidate of Labour Party LP in 2023, Mr Peter Obi has paid a condolence visit to the Niger State government, following a flood disaster last Thursday.

Obi, who was received by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, at the Government House, Minna, yesterday, sympathised with the government and the people of the state over the flood disaster that killed about 153 people in Mokwa Local Government Area and displaced several people.

 The 2023 presidential candidate, who donated N20million to the families of victims, also promised to personally visit the survivors in Mokwa in no distant time.

“I will personally visit Mokwa to condole the families of the victims, as well as meet one -on-one with survivors in this  moment of grief”, Obi re -enphasised.

The former Anambra State governor had earlier prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims and for God to grant their families the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Welcoming the former  governor, the deputy governor who received Obi on behalf of  Governor Mohammed  Bago thanked him for supporting the distressed  flood victims.

The deputy governor, who also received the donation on behalf of the government and people of Niger State, commended  Obi for his show of kindness and love for humanity, especially in support of victims of natural disasters.
