Board, management, staff and players of Lobi Stars Football Club, Makurdi, have expressed their deepest condolences to the government and people of Kano State, following a fatal motor accident which involved the state’s contingent returning from the National Sports Festival, Gateway 2024, in Ogun State.
Chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club, Dr Philip Nongu, in a message of condolence Monday in Makurdi, described the loss of young athletes and officials as a “heartbreaking tragedy that echoes beyond borders.”
The message noted that the deceased were not just competitors, but heroes and ambassadors of hope and unity.
Lobi Stars FC stands in “solemn solidarity” with the government and people of Kano State during this difficult time, offering condolences to the bereaved families, the injured and the entire sporting community in Kano.
Nongu, on behalf of the club, prayed that the departed find eternal rest and that those in pain find healing and strength.
