The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Oshimili North Local Government Area Campaign Council on Monday began LG campaign for the reelection of Hon. Innocent Esewezie as Council Chairman in Ukala ward 10 as the campaign team presented the Chairmanship Candidate and his councillors to the people. The meeting also served as a medium for feeling the pulse of the publics.
While speaking, the Alternate Chairman of the campaign, Hon. Barr. Frank Esenwah, Member representing Oshimili North at the State House of Assembly urged the people of Ukala community to support the incoming Council Chairman knowing that he has delivered in his previous stint at the Council with the delivery of the first and only public water supply in the community. He said he is aware that the Party has never lost in the ward and encouraged them to keep up the good record with the intention of bettering it.
In the same vein, the Director General of the campaign, Chief Patrick Ukah insisted that distribution of projects will be by number of votes garnered by each community so as to encourage all communities to participate actively in future elections.
The Party chairman in the LGA, Chief Nduka Ogwuda ably represented by his vice, Hon. Sir Joseph Ijeh handed over the symbolic PDP flag to Hon Esewezie and his legion of councillors and drummed up support for the candidates of the PDP ahead of the July 13 election.
Hon. Chief Innocent Esewezie in his speech commended the Ukala people for coming out in their numbers to support him, he assured them of giving them good leadership and service delivery thereby citing his first tenure as example of what he will. He also spoke on the need to be united and practice the politics of togetherness and inclusivity so as to retain the massive victory recorded in previous elections.
