Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has officially inaugurated the Pilgrims Medical Screening Team for the 2025 Hajj operations.
The ceremony was held at the Agency’s headquarters in Sokoto, marking the beginning of the medical screening exercise for intending pilgrims.
Head of Information and Communication of the Agency, Faruk Umar, in a statement said the Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Musa emphasised the sacred nature of the assignment, urging team members to uphold sincerity, patience, and dedication.
The statement said Acting Executive Secretary, Alhaji Ladan Ibrahim highlighted the need to protect the welfare of the state’s pilgrims.
It added that Director of Operations Alhaji Abubakar Chika charged the medical team to work diligently with responsibility and fear of Allah.
Leader of the medical team, Dr. Bello Abubakar Attahiru, emphasized the team’s role in providing care and medical support to intending pilgrims.
The medical screening exercise commenced at the weekend, with pilgrims from Wamakko and other local government areas expected to participate.
