As Christians across Kogi State and the nation at large celebrate Easter, Zinariya of Lokoja, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has extended warm greetings to the Christian faithful, urging reflection, peace, and unity during this sacred season.
In a goodwill message released on Sunday, Dr Aliyu emphasised the importance of Easter as a time of deep spiritual significance that transcends religious boundaries.
She described the season as one that embodies reflection, sacrifice, and renewal—values essential to the collective progress of Nigeria.
“Easter’s message of love, hope, and resurrection speaks powerfully to the heart of nation-building,” she said. “Just as Christ’s resurrection symbolizes triumph over adversity, we too, as a people, must rise above our differences and challenges to forge a stronger, more united Nigeria.”
The prominent politician also acknowledged the ongoing efforts of the present administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in promoting national unity and healing.
She noted that the government’s focus on inclusivity, economic empowerment, infrastructure, and security is gradually restoring trust and building bridges across Nigeria’s diverse communities.
To Christians observing Easter, she offered words of encouragement: “I urge you to use this holy season to deepen your commitment to peace, forgiveness, and selfless service. Your prayers and actions must reflect the teachings of Christ—compassion, humility, and unity. Extend kindness to your neighbors, embrace interfaith harmony and tolerance and let your faith be a source of healing in our nation.”
Concluding her message, the Kogi Princess prayed for peace in every home, progress in every community, and prosperity for Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.
