Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain, Hon Rauf Ajani, yesterday extended his congratulatory message to the newly elected South-West Zonal Executive members of the party under the Chairmanship of Barrister Kamarudeen Ajisafe Kosolowoe.
Hon. Ajani, who is the former Executive Chairman of Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State, in his congratulatory message issued and made available to newsmen yesterday after the Congress held at Ibadan on Wednesday, described the re-election of Barrister Ajisafe as the Chairman of the South-West Zone of the PDP as a good omen.
According to Hon Ajani, who sought for the unalloyed and unflinching support of other members of the executive of the zone to Barrister Ajisafe’s leadership, said the new executive would move the party to the promised land.
“I want to say that Barrister Ajisafe’s leadership would contribute to the expansion of the party in the entire zone and beyond as he had been tested and not found wanting.
“Let us all rally round the entire executive of the South-West zone of our dear party for us to archive our aim. All the party faithful and leaders should come together and support Barrister Ajisafe’s leadership.
“Ajisafe’s re-election for the zone is a round peg in a round hole for the total victory of the PDP in the entire zone as I am very sure the entire executive will work assiduously for the complete development of the party”, he said.
He also admonished the newly elected executive to continue to work for the unity of the party and assure of bringing everyone together for the benefit of the party and entire members across board.
“In addition, I want to appreciate our amiable governor, Asiwaju Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, for presenting and supporting a highly experienced and seasoned politician like Ajisafe, who is a professional Engineer, Lawyer of repute, former Special Adviser to the Governor and former Local Government Chairman. I wish him a successful tenure in office.
“I am also using this medium to advise Engineer, Barr Kamorudeen Ajisafe Kosolowo to use his pool of experience to reconcile the aggrieved party members in the zone and to also be completely loyal to Asiwaju Senator Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and his counterpart in Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde”.
Hon Ajani prayed that Almighty Allah will continue to guide, lead and give the new executive needed wisdom and knowledge to triumph.
“On behalf of myself, Alhaji Rauf Ajani, my family and entire leadership and members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ayedaade Local Government Area, I congratulate you Barrister Ajisafe”, the message concluded.
