Nigeria’s Super Eagles revived their World Cup qualification hopes with a commanding 2-0 away victory over Rwanda on Friday evening in Kigali.

Playing at the Amahoro Stadium in front of Rwandan President Paul Kagame, the Amavubi struggled to keep up with the visitors.

The Super Eagles dominated from the start, with Victor Osimhen opening the scoring in the 11th minute. As Rwanda pushed for an equalizer, the Galatasaray forward struck again, doubling Nigeria’s lead and cementing their control of the match.

Despite a determined effort from the hosts in the second half, Nigeria’s defense, marshaled by captain William Troost-Ekong, stood firm to secure a crucial three points for the three-time African champions.
