Jigawa Officials Commence 2-day Devt Retreat In Gombe

Members of  Jigawa State Executive Council and other top government officials converged  on Gombe State for a two-day retreat aimed at assessing progress and strategising for further development. 

The retreat, holding at  Gombe International Conference Centre, focuses on reviewing the implementation of the 12-point agenda and fostering collaboration among Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs. 

Governor Umar Namadi highlighted the administration’s achievements since the last retreat in 2023, including notable improvements in socio-economic conditions, youth empowerment and human capital development.

He, however, emphasised the need for sustained focus and innovation to address ongoing challenges in governance, fiscal reforms and service delivery.

The theme of this year’s retreat, ‘Ascending the Peak: Achieving Greater Jigawa Vision through Innovation and Transformative Leadership,’ underscores the state’s commitment to foster synergy, leverage modern management tools and drive transformational change.

Experts at the retreat delivered technical presentations on innovative financial management and public service reforms, offering fresh perspectives to strengthen governance.

Governor Namadi reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to deliver impactful results and urged officials to intensify efforts toward achieving the Greater Jigawa Vision.
