The Rising Soccer Football League (RSFL) has identified high facility costs, logistical challenges as the reasons for the decision of  management to suspends Lagos edition of the league.

The Rising Star Football League holds its first ultimate footballskills challenge in   in Abuja in 2024,  an initiative that is second to none in the city with its positively impact affects the young talents and others in Abuja and its environs.

Speaking weekend in Abuja at a press conference in Abuja, Project Coordinator Ifeanyi Kama revealed all energy will be channel toward the season 2 edition in Abuja to have better result more than that of first season.

“For now we are going to put Lagos edition of Rising Star Football Eague on hold, i  want to make announcement, before talking about plans for Abuja season 2, it’s not hold as expected, for now because we had problem of logistic and facilities issues we are not able to come to an agreement.

“We alway knew from the scratch that Abuja and Lagos environment are two different place, we knew we are going to more in Lagos but we don’t know its going to be huge so because of that we are not able to come to an agreement and finalize things.

“We are actually going to spend a lot in Lagos on like Abuja.

“As we all know that our aim is to give back to the community and when it has gotten out of our hand it has no meaning again, because it’s a person that’s sponsoring all these, it’s a one man thing.

“Initially, we had the plan of doing Abuja, Lagos edition, and we laid a good foundation in Abuja, but in Lagos it was extremely difficulty because we are going to start everything from the beginning, so as its we are going to come back to Abuja where we know everything is going to be lighter for us.

“We ate not shorting the door on Lagos edition, we open to still do that of Lagos edition but we can’t let year go bye without achieving anything.

Imagine how many lives RSFL touched and we have plan to channel the mind of millions of young Nigeria toward football again the negative influences.

“If conditions improve, we may revisit it. For now, our focus shifts to Season 2 of the Abuja RSFL League, which will kick off soon,” Kama stated

We are going to do Season two in Abuja we start working underground, and commence the plan toward creating structure and hopefully we shall get it better.

Speaking on the  plan for Abuja edition, Kama said Abuja edition Season 2 is going to be more fascinating because we know areas where we made some mistake and correct them all in this edition.

As we all know, RSFL is more than just a football league, It’s a community-driven initiative aimed at empowering the youth by providing them with a platform to excel.

“We want to encourage grassroots teams and give them the exposure they need to develop and showcase their talents. I can assure you that we will not lower it but we shall put more effort to ensure best result.”
