African Democratic Congress, ADC, one of the Nigeria’s leading opposition political parties said it has resolved all disputes in the party and is committed to working as a united party to win the 2027 general elections.
National chairman of the party,. Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu made the disclosure in Abuja when the Independent National Electoral Commission ,INEC, political parties verification team visited the National headquarters of the
party.
Recall that prior to the 2023 general election the party was enmeshed in leadership crisis leading to expulsion of prominent leaders of the party.
Chief Nwosu who commended the Alternative Disputes Resolution arm of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, for the peace that returned to the party said the reconciliation was made possible by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC who ensured that political parties operate in harmony.
The party chieftain who urged members of the party to forgive one another and work together towards winning the 2027 general election noted that the party was now repositioned to take over the country’s mantle of leadership.
“I thank and commend INEC for building more united political parties and the peace process to go on . If I have offended any of you , pls, let’s forgive ourselves and make progress”, he said.
Fielding questions on why the presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 election, Mr Dumebi Kachikwu and the party members in the House of Representatives were absent, he disclosed that most politicians after being elected abandon the party that sponsored them to office, adding that the party is working hard to stop such attitude.
