Tinubu Arrives Saudi Arabia For Islamic-Arab Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday arrived in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, capital to attend the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, beginning today.

Tinubu, at the King Abdulaziz International Airport, at 10:00am (local time) and was received on arrival by the Deputy Governor of Riyadh, Prince Mohammed AbdulRahman.

The Nigeria’s President is in kingdom on the invitation of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to participate in the summit that will focus on the current situation in the Middle East.

AljazirahNigeria reports that Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Tinubu,  Bayo Onanuga , in a statement at the weekend said the President would be delivering an address on the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict, also emphasise Nigeria’s call for an immediate ceasefire and the urgent need for a peaceful resolution in the region, including call for a two-state solution as pathway to lasting peace in the region.

On the President’s entourage are Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mohammed Mohammed.

After the conclusion of the summit, President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja.
