The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike has announced the appointment of the pioneer FCTA Head of Service, Dr. Samuel Udo Atang as his Senior Special Assistant on Administration.
This was contained in a statement emanated from the Minister’s office on Friday.
It says the appointment takes immediate effect.
Atang, a seasoned administrator with a wealth of experience in public service, governance, and administration was, until his new appointment, Head of Civil Service of the FCT Administration.
Born on the 27th of March 1964, Atang, hails from Eket Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom State.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, obtained from the University of Calabar in 1987 and began his working career in the defunct Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory in 1989.
It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu had extended Atang’s tenure for six months on his reaching the retirement age of 60 in March this year.
