Barely 17 days before the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Monday Okpebholo, on Friday, assured the people of Akoko Edo Local Government Area of the revival of Ojirami Dam that will provide water for them.
Okpebholo also assured the people that the road between Ososo and Okpella will be given immediate attention within 100 days of his administration.
He disclosed these during the ward to ward governorship campaign in Igarra, headquarters of Akoko-Edo Local Government Council.
The governorship candidate told the people that his five-point agenda would be followed to the letter.
“I assure you that my five-point agenda will be followed to the letter. The agenda is road construction, health, tackling insecurity, education and sgriculture”, he stated.
The candidate assured the people that he will also employ teachers to teach in their schools and make sure light is available.
Okpebholo pledged to ensure the safety of farmers by providing enough security.
Minister for Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Abubakar Momoh, said the reconstruction of Igarra, Auchi and Atte roads are already in the NDDC’s budget for this year and urged the people to come out on election day to vote for the APC.
Former Governor Adams Oshiomhole called on the people of Akoko-Edo to vote APC on September 21. He said he brought Okpebholo to them so that they could hear what he intends to do for the people.
He pleaded with them to vote APC on election day as Okpebholo has what it takes to provide the dividends of democracy.
“Some people will come to give you money to vote for them, collect the money and vote for Okpebholo of the APC, it is your money which they were suppose to use to work for you”, he stated.
