About 198 Ebonyi people living in Lagos State arrived Iziogo in Izzi Local Government Area on Thursday.
The y arrived the palace of the traditional ruler representing Izzi Local Government Area in Lagos State, Eze Cyprian Nwekee in Iziogo.
Addressing the victims, the traditional ruler described the experience as sad, saying though, no life was lost, but the victims if not properly settled and financially empowered, would spell doom.
He revealed that the affected persons lived in the heart of Lagos before evacuation and appealed to government at all levels for financial assistance to resituate them, knowing that there is no land for them to go back to farm, wjilemany are already old and cannot farm again.
Some of the the victims, Mr Mathias Nwenyim, Mrs Nomi Martina and Mrs Helen Ogbonna, a native of Agbaja Community, expressed joy with the intervention of the traditional ruler.
Aljazirah Nigeria reports that 180 persons successful returned to the state with two trucks of household items.
