Chairman of Yusfari Local Government Area, of Yobe State, Alhaji Baba Abba Aji, is dead.
His death was announced by his family members, on Sunday.
According to the statement, Aji died after an undisclosed prolonged illness.
“Yusfari Local Government Area is in mourning following the passing of its Executive Chairman, Alhaji Abba Baba Aji, a respected politician, leader and dedicated public servant, succumbed to a prolonged illness, leaving behind a legacy of service and commitment to the people he served.
According to a close family member, Baba Aji passing was confirmed after a long battle with illness.
“Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he was unable to recover and passed on, leaving his family, friends, and colleagues in shock and grief”, the statement said in part”
In his condolence massage the yobe East Senate Musa Mustapha, extend condolences to the people of Yusufari on the death of the Council Chairman, Alh. Baba Abba Aji who passed on earlier today
In a statement added that the Executive Chairman of Yusufari Local Government, Aji was deeply committed to the progress and well-being of the Council, and this was evident in every programme he championed and the remarkable performance of his administration in the last two years.
He would be remembered for creating a lasting legacy and for his positive contributions to the growth and development of Yusufari Local Government.
