Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Akoko South West Local Government area of Ondo State, Hon. Abiodun Ogunbi a.k.a Onireason, yesterday commended the incumbent Minister of Interior and Oluomo of Akokoland, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his performance in the Ministry, particularly his reforms in passport processing and efforts to clear backlogs.
Hon Ogunbi while speaking with our Correspondent during a telephone chart said, the Minister Dr Tunji-Ojo has done wonderfully since he assumed the office describing him as the best performing Minister in the Ministry.
Hon Ogunbi, a two terms Ondo State House of Assembly member and former Chairman, Akoko South West Local Government, praised Dr Tunji-Ojo who is also the Oluomo of Akokoland for clearing a large backlog of passport applications and for automating the process to be faster and more accessible, with processing times reduced to weeks.
The APC Chieftain, emphasised that the Minister must also be commended for his unalloyed efforts in promoting synergy and collaboration among the agencies under his leadership.
According to Hon Ogunbi, “Dr Tunji-Ojo since his assumption in the Federal Ministry of Interior works towards the enhancement of border security through technology-driven solutions.
“There is no doubt about it that his unrelented efforts in the Ministry has contributed a lot to the development of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s led administration”.
