Ramadan: Gov Buni Approves Adjusted Working Hours For Public Servants

Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni has approved the adjustment of official working hours for public servants in observance of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to a circular signed by the Head of Service, Abdullahi Shehu, the approval was granted by the governor to enable workers observe the fasting period with ease, while maintaining productivity in the public service.

According to the statement, in the new arrangement, work on Monday to Thursday begins from 8am to 3pm, while work on Fridays starts from 8am to 12:00 noon.

The circular explained that the adjustment was temporary and applied only during the month of Ramadan, while normal official working hours would resume immediately after the fasting period.

The state government urged all ministries, departments and agencies to ensure strict compliance with the directive and continue to deliver efficient services to the people of Yobe State throughout the holy month.
