30 States Rush To Avert Flood Criss

Ahead of the rainy season, states have commenced measures to curb flooding expected to affect no fewer than 1,249 communities in 176 local governments across 30 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The measures include public enlightenment campaigns, dredging water channels and relocating communities on river banks and floodplains.

On Thursday, the federal government announced that  states would witness heavy flooding between April and November.

The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Professor Joseph Utsev disclosed this at the unveiling of the 2025 Annual Flood Outlook by the Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency in Abuja.

Utsav identified the high flood-risk states as Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross-River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Gombe, Imo and Jigawa.

Others are Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, Zamfara and the FCT.

The minister raised concerns that flooding remains one of the devastating natural disasters in Nigeria, with climate change accelerating its frequency and severity.

He also predicted that coastal and riverine areas such as Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Lagos, Ogun, Rivers and Ondo would experience flooding due to  rise in sea level and tidal surge, and this would impact fishing, wildlife habitation and river navigation.

“The 2025 Annual Flood Outlook shows that 1,249 communities in 176 local government areas in 30 states and the FCT fall within the High Flood Risk Areas, while 2,187 communities in 293 councils in 36 states of the federation and the FCT fall within the Moderate Flood Risk Areas.

“Flash and urban flooding are projected in major cities in the country due to high rainfall intensity, low attention to the management of water facilities, including drainage systems, waterways and lack of flood resilience structures.

“Nevertheless,  flood, unlike other natural disasters, can be contained with proper planning and the provision of necessary infrastructure. Rather than just general predictions, forecasts are now tailored to specific communities, enhancing actionable communication and preparedness at the grassroots level,” he stated.

Earlier in his address, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, Richard Pheelangwah, urged stakeholders to prioritise early response.

He said, “This outlook is not just about numbers, it is about protecting lives and livelihoods.”

The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of NIHSA, Umar Mohammed, noted that this year’s flood forecast goes beyond mapping local government areas and now identifies specific communities at risk.

Mohammed added that  AFO’s enhanced methodology is the result of continuous feedback, technological advancement and broad inter-agency collaboration.

“We are transforming flood data into real-time decisions and impactful resilience-building. Our focus has expanded to assess sectoral impact on health, education, agriculture and infrastructure, offering more robust tools to policymakers and disaster risk managers,” he stated.

Responding to the forecast, the Anambra State Emergency Management Agency said it has alerted residents living in flood-prone local government areas and communities to be prepared as their territories may be inundated from April.

The Deputy Publicity Secretary of the agency, Uche Okalawan disclosed that  state authorities have started clearing blocked drainages and evacuating structures blocking the free flow of water.

Okalawan listed 10 local government areas out of the 21 councils that are flood-risk areas.

They include Ogbaru, Ayamelum, Anambra East, Anambra West, Onitsha South, Onitsha North, Awka North, Idemili South, Ekwusigo and Ihiala.

He said, “The state government has started de-silting water channels and clearing blocked drainages. Residents of these communities have been notified and alerted to the impending flooding.

“In the event of flooding,  internally displaced persons camps set up by  Governor Chukwuma Soludo, are still in place and the elderly, women and children will be moved to the camps immediately.”

FG Set To Commission Oxygen Plant In Niger

FROM SAMSON ALFA, MINNA

Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr Ali Pate will soon commission the oxygen plants donated by Global Fund to  Niger State.

Commissioner for Secondary and Tertiary Health, Dr Bello Tukur, disclosed  this during an inspection visit to the plant site located at the General Hospital in Suleja.

The commissioner, who was represented by the Director of Medical Services and Training in the  ministry, Dr Abubakar Bosso, explained that the visit was aimed at assessing the progress of the project.

According to the commissioner, the plant will be the first of its kind owned by  the state government and will be operated by the donor for a period of 10 years.

“As it is, the plant is set to be commissioned by the minister of health and social welfare before  it is handed over to the state government, adding that the project will not only serve the local community, but also generate revenue.”

The commissioner said when commissioned, government will be supplying oxygen to public and private hospitals in Niger State and neighbouring states.

He pointed  out that the sole responsibility of the state is to fuel the 150-liter, 800kva generator and also connect the facility to the national grid, through the  Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy.

In his address, the Medical Director of Suleja General Hospital, Dr Adedokun Adebayo said the oxygen plant will reduce several requests about oxygen, adding that they usually  procure oxygen from Maitama Hospital in Abuja.

He  stated that the project which began in 2023 through the Federal Ministry of Health in collaboration with an NGO, is committed to building, equipping and maintaining the plant.

He, however, emphasised  the need for security in Suleja, and called for  increased  security personnel to protect the facility from theft and vandalisation.

Northern Group Urges Nigerians To Stay Vigilant Over El-Rufai’s Political Alliances

0

…Faults Buhari’s receptiveness of Atiku, El-Rufai

The Northern Conscience Movement (NCM), has called for vigilance among Nigerians following the political alliances of former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

The group, in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Lawal Nuhu Ahmed and made available to AljazirahNigeria at the weekend, described the recent admiration displayed by El-Rufai as perplexing, highlighting his vocal reservations against Abubakar in the past.

The Northern movement recalled several allegations that the former Kaduna governor heaped on Abubakar, discrediting his bid for political positions.

“This surprising shift in political rhetoric, which has seen El-Rufai, once a vociferous critic of Abubakar, now extending praises towards him, raises significant concerns about the integrity and consistency of his political relationships.

“In the past, El-Rufai did not mince words when it came to his criticisms of Abubakar. He labeled him a “liar” and accused him of harbouring an obsession for power,” as well as being “haunted by his corruption demon.”

“These statements were not mere political jabs; they were grounded in serious allegations that have followed Abubakar throughout his political career. El-Rufai’s previous assertions about Abubakar’s supposed involvement in financial misconduct and his controversial history, which allegedly led to his barring from the United States, were serious charges that resonated with many Nigerians,” the statement said.

The NVM questioned the authenticity of El-Rufai’s conviction displayed in his recent overtures of admiration towards Abubakar, adding that the sudden shift became alarming given El-Rufai’s own political challenges, including his fallout with President Bola Tinubu, over his ministerial nomination that was later thwarted by the Senate.

Such circumstances, according to the group, suggest that El-Rufai may be recalibrating his political alliances out of necessity rather than genuine respect or camaraderie.

“Recall also that in a memo to President Muhammadu Buhari, El-Rufai expressed his concerns about the state of the nation and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“He highlighted the ailing economy, the lack of cohesion within the party, and the deteriorating relationship between the president and other party leaders. While these observations may hold merit, the timing and context of his newfound admiration for Abubakar and Buhari appear to be driven more by political expediency than a sincere change of heart,” the group further said.

The Northern Conscience Movement also expressed worries over Atiku Abubakar’s recent overtures towards former President Muhammadu Buhari, despite his previous allegations of Buhari’s involvement in the smuggling of looted funds, underscoring a complex and perhaps contradictory political manoeuvring.

The group said, “Abubakar’s recollection of the 1984 incident—where he, as the head of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Command, intercepted 53 suitcases allegedly linked to Buhari’s aide—serves as a critical reminder of the historical context that shapes contemporary political narratives.

“Abubakar’s assertion that Buhari’s administration has exacerbated corruption, thereby undermining efforts against terrorism in the Northeast, raises pertinent questions about accountability and governance. Ultimately, the juxtaposition of past actions and current alliances reveals a troubling paradox in Nigerian politics, where the line between accountability and opportunism often blurs, leaving citizens to discern the truth amidst a cacophony of conflicting narratives.”

The NCM advised Young Nigerians, particularly Millennials, to revisit this episode to understand the deep-seated issues of corruption that continue to plague Nigeria.

The Northern Conscience Movement critiqued the engagement between Elrufai and prominent PDP figures, including Atiku Abubakar and Aminu Tambuwal, in their outreach to President Buhari – a unifying move against President Tinubu for the 2027 elections.

They described the action as a disingenuous one that undermines the integrity of political discourse in the region.

They further faulted Buhari’s receptiveness to this coalition, deeming it insensitive given the prevailing political tensions.

“Such actions may exacerbate divisions rather than foster genuine collaboration, highlighting the complexities of Northern Nigerian politics in an increasingly polarized landscape.

“The NCM believes that such political manoeuvring undermines the principles of transparency and accountability that are desperately needed in Nigeria.

“The evolution of El-Rufai’s rhetoric illustrates how personal interests can eclipse previously held convictions, leading to alliances that many would deem improbable. This phenomenon is not unique to El-Rufai; it is symptomatic of a broader trend in Nigerian politics, where ideological consistency is frequently sacrificed at the altar of power and influence.

“We caution against interpreting El-Rufai’s newfound admiration as a genuine reconciliation.

“We urge all citizens to remain engaged and critical of the political discourse in Nigeria. It is only through active participation and scrutiny that we can foster a political environment that truly reflects the will and aspirations of the people,” the statement added.

NSC DG, Hon. Bukola Olopade Mourns Passing of Football Legend Christian “Chairman” Chukwu

0

The Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of Christian Chukwu and the entire Nigerian football community following the passing of the legendary former Super Eagles captain and coach.

Chukwu, who died at the age of 74 on Saturday after a period of illness, was one of Nigeria’s most iconic football figures. Fondly known as ‘Chairman’, he captained Nigeria’s national team to its first-ever Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in 1980, defeating Algeria 3–0 in the final at the National Stadium in Lagos. He later served as head coach of the Super Eagles and remained a towering figure in Nigerian football.

In a statement, Hon. Olopade described Chukwu as “a true icon, a leader of men, and a national hero whose contributions to the growth of Nigerian football will never be forgotten.”

“Christian Chukwu was not just a footballer; he was a symbol of pride, discipline, and excellence,” Olopade said. “His leadership on and off the field inspired generations, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of millions of Nigerians. The nation mourns the loss of a giant.”

The former Ogun State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development added: “We commiserate with his family, the Nigeria Football Federation, and every Nigerian who feels this deep loss. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”

Born in Enugu, Chukwu began his football journey with Enugu Rangers, leading the club to domestic dominance and continental success, including the now-defunct African Cup Winners Cup in 1977.

He also played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s golden football era, assisting Dutch tactician Clemens Westerhof when the Super Eagles won the 1994 AFCON and qualified for their first FIFA World Cup appearance that same year. As head coach, he guided the team to a third-place finish at the 2004 AFCON in Tunisia.

Hon. Olopade  stated the NSC will join Nigerian football family, supporters, and admirers across the globe continue to pay tribute to the Enugu-born icon, whose influence and achievements remain etched in the annals of African football history.

By Joel Ajayi

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has unveiled plans to enhance its collaboration with key stakeholders and expand its initiatives aimed at empowering Corps Members for self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

Speaking at the 2025 Strategic Meeting/Debriefing of State Officers held in Abuja, NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, emphasized the Scheme’s strategic engagement with various partners, including the Bank of Industry (BOI) through its Graduate Entrepreneurship Fund (GEF), the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), and private sector organizations such as SV-NED, OTNI, ASOLAR, among others.

General Nafiu noted that these partnerships are designed to go beyond theoretical learning by exposing Corps Members to real-world business environments. “These collaborations will equip Corps Members with entrepreneurial and leadership skills necessary for a successful transition into self-employment,” he said.

He highlighted that formal frameworks such as Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and comprehensive action plans with agencies like SMEDAN have been put in place to operationalize these efforts. “By joining forces with these stakeholders, we aim to bridge the gap between education and employment, and ultimately empower Corps Members to become employers of labor,” he added.

The Director General, represented by Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, Director of the Human Resources Management Department, stressed NYSC’s continued commitment to ICT development. He stated that in today’s digital age, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) proficiency is vital across all sectors—from e-commerce to tech-driven agriculture—and that the Scheme is prioritizing digital literacy for both Corps Members and staff.

Also speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kehinde Aremu-Cole, Director of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Department, reiterated that the SAED programme remains central to youth empowerment and national integration. He said the theme of the meeting, “Operationalizing Excellence: A New Framework for Corps Empowerment through Policy Innovation, Efficiency, and Sustainability”, is a clarion call to SAED Schedule Officers to adopt innovative approaches to service delivery.

“We must move beyond traditional methods and focus on creating sustainable and efficient systems that truly empower our Corps Members,” Aremu-Cole stated. He urged SAED Officers to improve service quality, ensure the programme exceeds its goals, and remain responsive to the evolving needs of participants.

He also noted recent developments within the SAED framework, including the review of skill sets, implementation strategies, updated workbooks, and curriculum development—designed to enhance impact and adaptability.

Aremu-Cole further advised SAED Officers to guide Corps Members on using the NYSC Integrated System (NIS), emphasizing the importance of skill selection through their dashboards for improved tracking and efficiency.

“You are expected to serve as mentors to Corps entrepreneurs—especially those who are beneficiaries of loans and grants from our partners—and as role models, inspiring active participation in post-camp training and other SAED activities,” he concluded.

Araromi market located inside Agodi, adjacent the Correctional Service, on Thursday night, recorded another fire incident.

The market is notable for the sale of auto spare parts and accessories. Scavengers and those who live on dismantling vehicles also make a living from abandoned cars in the market.

It was gathered that not less than 12 shops with properties worth millions of naira were destroyed in the latest fire incident.

Eyewitness account states that the incident started at Block A, No 64 Mayegun Cement store around 10:55pm.

The incident, which lasted for several hours, was attributed to a surge in power supply to the area.

Confirming the incident, General Manager of Oyo Fire Service, Yemi Akinyinka, said the agency received the distress call at exactly 11:02pm.

Akinyinka said: “The agency’s control room received the distress call at exactly 23:02 hrs on Thursday, April 10.

“The fire personnel led by CFS Jimoh promptly deployed to the scene of the fire incident. On arrival, we met some lockup shops  alight and we swiftly swung into action and restricted the fire from spreading to other  shops.

“The fire affected 12 out of multiple shops and we were able to save property worth billions of naira in the market. The appliance returned to the station by 03:18hrs and on standby.”

There have been multiple fire incidents at Araromi Market, Agodi Gate, Ibadan in recent times.

On January 14, 2023, a fire broke out at the market, gutting over 25 shops.

The fire started from one shop and spread to others due to the late arrival of  fire fighters.

The cause was attributed to scavengers burning disused tires, which ignited nearby combustibles.

On December 20, 2024, another fire incident occurred with flames engulfing the market around 2am.

The fire destroyed properties worth millions, and traders suffered heavy losses.

The cause of the fire was uncertain but early reports suggested that it might have been triggered by an electrical fault.

On March 30, 2the market was engulfed in flames around 2am. The fire destroyed properties worth millions of naira and initial report did not give the immediate and remote cause of the incident.

The incidents have resulted in significant losses with traders  clamouring for enhanced safety measures in the market.

Benue Advocacy Network Slams Alia Over Misleading Claims

ELECTIONS

From Henry Ibya, Makurdi

Group under the auspices of Benue Advocacy Network, BAN, has expressed disappointment  over Governor Hyacinth Alia’s recent media chat, accusing him of making unsubstantiated claims and avoiding critical issues affecting the state.

Making their position known while reacting to the issues that Governor Alia had raised in his media chat during a press conference held yesterday in Makurdi, the group criticised him for downplaying the severity of insecurity in Benue State, particularly the attacks by armed Fulani herdsmen, which they argued have resulted in thousands of deaths and displacement of communities.

The President of the group, Bemshima Ortese, insisted that Governor Alia’s description of these incidents as “skirmishes” was misleading.

The network equally expressed concern over the governor’s reversal of the Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law of 2017, which they noted effectively addressed the herdsmen menace, pointing out that abandonment of the law had led to the resurgence of open grazing and attacks on farmers.

BAN also disputed the governor’s claim that the state had no data on Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, citing the detailed documentation carried out by the previous government through  Benue State Emergency Management Agency, BSEMA.

On financial management, the group questioned the governor’s assertion that he inherited N359 billion  salary arrears, explaining that the actual figure was N187.56 billion, as stated in the handover notes.

BAN also criticised his lack of transparency in managing the state’s resources and demanded that government

publish the monthly allocations received from the federation’s account since May 2023, as well as requested accountability in the management of Benue’s funds and disclosure of its wage bill.

The group  urged  Governor Alia to demonstrate transparency in the award of contracts, as well as publish details of contracts awarded and the cost of underpasses constructed in Makurdi and Gboko.

On insecurity and the issue of IDPs, the network urged him to address the security situation and provide a plan to end the attacks, as well as explain to the public reasons behind his construction of additional IDP camps instead of fulfilling his campaign promise of relocating displaced persons to their ancestral homes.

Benue Advocacy Network  vowed to no longer tolerate the Alia administration’s sustained media attacks on the previous government and called on the governor to focus on his accomplishments and address the state’s pressing issues.

BAN also reminded him to note that though a cleric, he is no longer on the pulpit, but a politician and should know that every bit of falsehood he utters against the previous administration will this time be met with equal response, adding that Benue people are closely watching his utterances and actions and will respond at the appropriate time.

The group urged  Alia to promote transparency and accountability in governance, by ensuring the welfare and safety of Benue  citizens instead of misleading the public with falsehood.

Abia APC Stakeholders Vow To Deliver Tinubu, Win State In 2027

0

All Progressives Congress ,APC, stakeholders in Abia have pledged to deliver the state to President Bola Tinubu and wrestle power from the Gov. Alex Otti-led Labour Party ,LP, government in 2027.

The stakeholders made the pledge yesterday in Abuja in a meeting held at the instance of Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, a former governor of the state.

The meeting, held at Kalu’s Abuja residence, had in attendance APC National Welfare Secretary, Donatus Nwankpa, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha and Emeka Atuma.

Others were a former Commissioner for Finance in the state, Obinna Oriaku, Ndukwe Adindu, Sam Ikiri, Mike Nwabara, Anyim Nyerere, Nze Esiaga, Chidi Maduekwe, Ndukwe Maxwell and Nnanna Kalu, among others.

Speaking with newsmen at the end of the meeting, Kalu expressed happiness that Abia APC members were now one united family.

This, he said, was in line with the directive given by the president during the APC National Executive Committee ,NEC, meeting held in Abuja recently.

“We are more united now than ever because President Tinubu, during the last APC NEC meeting, gave us directive to reconcile members of the party in our state.

“He knows we are capable of doing it”. Kalu said, adding that the stakeholders would be grateful if the masses in the state joined efforts to unite the party the more.

He stated that the people of Abia stood to benefit more if the state was brought to the mainstream politics.

Kalu, representing Abia North Senatorial District in the Senate, added that even with the state currently in the opposition, the Tinubu-led Federal Government had been doing so much for it.

“They can see what is happening in Abia North senatorial district concerning federal government’s interventions.

“I am very thankful to former President Muhammadu Buhari and the incumbent President Tinubu. This is what the three senatorial districts will enjoy when they join the APC.

“The last time I went to see the president, he was not very happy about the situation in Abia and I gave him my words that we are going to work hard to bring back Abia as a united indivisible entity.

“The president knows that as Abia political leaders, we are capable of doing that; we are going to do that and we are promising all the leaders that nobody will be left behind”, he said.

Kalu advised those in the opposition to join efforts with the stakeholders to ensure that the state was brought to the mainstream politics in the interest of the people.

He called on APC members in the state to identify with the party’s peace initiative and ensure its growth and stability.

This, he said, was critical to enable it speak with one voice and go into the elections as one indivisible entity.

The former governor thanked the people of the state for reposing their confidence in the stakeholders over the years, saying with the APC, the future would be brighter for the state.

“I was a very good governor; they also know that I am a very good senator and that I have never deceived the people of Abia.

“I am committed to whatever we want to do, and whoever we present as candidates for elections from the House of Assembly to the president, they will know that they will be credible people.

“My goodwill message to the people of Abia is that we have a president that has done first term and will be going for a second term.

“If he is doing second term, Abia needs to also align with the centre because we cannot afford to be speaking differently”, he stated.

Kalu added that the consensus of the South-East on the 2027 elections was that the zone would do very well by supporting Tinubu.

Earlier, Nwankpa, the APC National Welfare Secretary, said that the meeting was aimed at redirecting the party and consolidating on the gains it had made in recent times.

He noted that APC in Abia had witnessed the largest influx of people from other political parties into its fold in the last two years.

“We have received over 70% of former members of Peoples Democratic Party ,PDP, among others, and this is the show of their acceptability of APC in Abia”, he said.

Nwankpa pleaded with the party’s leaders in Abia to bury their individual differences and come together to work for it and the people of the state.

He assured of the support of the APC leadership, saying its support and loyalty as well as its determination to capture Abia in 2027 unshakable.

Revealed! Anambra Guber: Support Groups Lied On N30m Contribution

0
Anambra-MAP

* Group’s name not registered with CAC

* No such account found in Fidelity Bank records

While about sixty support groups claimed to have contributed the sum of N30m to Governor Soludo’s re-election and presented a cheque to him, investigations have revealed a very conspicuous foul pay, DAUDA ISMAIL writes.

Sixty support groups, under the auspices of All Soludo Support Groups, ASSG, revealed that they had contributed N30 million to ensure the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra.

Speaking on behalf of the support groups, Chinedu Nwoye, expressed the group’s readiness to collaborate with the governor.

Mr Nwoye said that the groups raised N30 million to rally support for Governor Soludo’s second term bid.

According to him, the support of the group is organic and for the greater good of the state.

“Men, women and youths donated what they have for us to raise the sum of N30 million. We are presenting the cheque to you to support and encourage you to go for second term.

“Mr Governor, we have already seen the promise land and you cannot leave us at this level, we plead you take us there,” he said.

However, investigations by this medium revealed that the name, All Soludo Support Groups, ASSG, is not registered at the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC. Speaking to our reporter, a staff of the commission said, “I think you only wasted your time and I’m surprised that you came to conduct a search for a name like this.”

When asked why he spoke that way, he continued: “You see, the CAC registers names of companies of various levels such as business names, companies limited by shares, business conglomerates etc, as well as Non Governmental Organisations, NGOs. So such a name cannot be registered by the CAC in the first place.”

In addition, the ASSG had said that the donations were domiciled in a Fidelity Bank account. But responding, an accountant, Mr Ajaka Samuel said: “Except you are opening a personal account of any category including the current account, you can never open any corporate account without evidence of registration with the CAC; that is the rule by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. So if anyone tells you he or she opened a corporate account with a name not registered with the CAC without evidence of registration, then you know that such a person is not telling the truth.”

In a similar vein, Chinazo Ugochukwu, who simply introduced herself as a concerned Anambra indegene, said: “It is laughable that a phoney and unregistered group can claim to have a bank account that holds about N30 million. How on earth did they open a corporate account when they do not, and cannot have a CAC registration?

“So if there is no such account with Fidelity or any other bank for that matter, how can they tell us that they made any contribution at all?

“I believe that if this had happened in most other clime, leaders of such a group would have been invited for questioning to disclose the whereabouts of such a huge sum of money.”

Another respondent, John Njokwu said: “It is not possible for any market woman, man or youth to have contributed a dime to a non-existent bank account. If that is so, Mr Chinedu Nwoye and his cronies should come and tell us how they got that Fidelity Bank cheque they presented to Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo whom he said ha has known since he was the governor of the CBN. And surprisingly, even the governor didn’t notice that the CAC couldn’t have registered such a name either as a company or as an NGO, in which case they could never have been able to open a corporate account with any bank.

“It’s obvious everything that happened that day was staged and Mr Nwoye and his cronies forgot that Nigerians would easily recognise such a lie. It’s just appalling!”
