The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Thursday, July 9, 2026, as the official date for the passing-out of 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I corps members across the country.

The announcement was contained in a statement published on the scheme’s official X account on Wednesday and signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu.

According to the statement, activities preceding the passing-out exercise began on June 23, 2026, as part of preparations for the successful completion of the service year.

The NYSC explained that the winding-up programme would feature a series of activities, including Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) sessions organised by the scheme in collaboration with relevant agencies.

Other activities include the registration and clearance of corps members by Local Government Inspectors (LGIs) as well as the endorsement of final clearance documents by Zonal Inspectors.

“The Management of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has approved Thursday, 9th July, 2026, as the passing-out date for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members.

“The series of activities heralding the event will commence on Tuesday 23rd June, 2026, and will include Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC), by the NYSC and other relevant agencies, registration and clearing of Corps Members by Local Government Inspectors (LGIs), as well as the signing of final clearance by the Zonal Inspectors,” the statement stated.

The scheme noted that the exercise would be conducted on a low-key basis and would conclude with the issuance of Certificates of National Service (CNS) to corps members who successfully fulfilled all requirements of the national service programme.

NYSC emphasised that only eligible corps members who completed their service obligations satisfactorily would be issued the certificates.

The Director-General of the scheme, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the outgoing corps members and wished them a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise.

He also encouraged them to continue upholding the values and ideals of the NYSC while serving as worthy ambassadors of the scheme in their future careers and personal pursuits.

Nafiu urged the corps members to apply the experiences, skills and knowledge acquired during the service year to contribute positively to national development and community growth.
