The Nigeria Customs Service women’s team staged a thrilling comeback to edge COAS Spikers 3–2 in a pulsating encounter at the ongoing 2025 Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Super Cup, inside the Basketball Hall of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
COAS Spikers began the contest brightly, displaying confidence and crisp execution to claim the opening set 25–21 and set the early tone of the match.
Customs Ladies responded with renewed energy, fighting back to stay in contention. They took the third set convincingly 25–15 after splitting the first two sets, swinging momentum back in their favour.
Just when the tie seemed poised for a Customs finish, COAS Spikers dug deep to snatch the fourth set 25–23.
However, Customs Ladies held their nerve in the decisive fifth set, powering through to a 15–9 win to seal a hard-fought 3–2 victory.
