As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence anniversary, Zinariya of Lokoja, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu and former Minister of State, FCT, has extended heartfelt greetings to Nigerians and Kogites, commending their resilience and dedication to the nation.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Aliyu said, “We honour the sacrifices of our forebears, whose courage and vision laid the foundation for the Nigeria we know today. Their legacy reminds us that our strength lies in unity and perseverance.”
She commended the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for its strides in strengthening the nation, stating that efforts to improve economic policies, infrastructure, education, social welfare, and security are “clear steps toward the continuous fulfilment of the promise of a better Nigeria through the Renewed Hope agenda.”
Dr Aliyu also praised Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, describing him as “a progressive and visionary leader, delivering democracy dividends to the people of Kogi.”
Addressing Nigerians more broadly, she said, “Your hard work, ingenuity, and faith in our country sustain communities. Continue to inspire hope and keep the spirit of independence alive.”
While celebrating the nation’s progress, the immediate past FCT minister urges leaders to continue pursuing policies that promote inclusivity, transparency, and opportunity. “Every citizen deserves access to education, security, and prosperity. Only sustained commitment can turn our aspirations into reality,” Aliyu concluded.”
