NGO Donates Educational Materials To Secondary School Students, Awards Scholarship To 30

A non governmental organizations, Nynnah Foundation in collaboration with Webmark Foundation and Destiny Mandate as parts of its efforts to ameliorate the sufferings of the less privileged children in secondary schools has awarded scholarship to not fewer than 30 outstanding students in the secondary school sections of Kabusa Government school in recognition of their hard work and dedication to learning and also donated educational materials to ease their learning.

The president of Nynnah Foundation, Ninnah Samuel said while celebrating the children that every child deserve the right to basic education irrespective of their social backgrounds, adding that education remains a viable tool through which the  future can be shaped.

She however acknowledged the challenging economic situation in the country and emphasised the need for us to support each other, hence distributed essential educational materials to the children. According to her, the foundations distributed 500 pens, 100 pencils, 100 mathematical sets, and 100 packs of exercise books which were handed out to the brightest , punctual and neatest students.

Also speaking, the Chairman Webmark Foundation, Dr. Tunmise Adepoju said, in addition to the gesture, 30 students in the junior secondary whose parents struggled to make ends meet received support as their WAEC examination fees were covered, along with provision for school uniforms, alleviating a significant burden and allowing these students to focus on their studies without financial worries.

“Investing in education is investing in the future. Empowering these young minds today will pave the way for a brighter tomorrow, where these children can grow into empowered individuals capable of driving positive change in their communities and the nation as a whole, so I  encourage well meaning Nigerians to support children education”.

On her part, Madam Useful Nkuma- Abosi of Destiny Mandate advocates deliberate and collective commitment towards harnessing the transformative potential of education of our young ones and called on other corporate organizations, NGOs, individuals to promote the education of our children.
