National Business and Technical Examinations Board, NABTEB, has released the 2025 November/December National Business Certificate/National Technical Certificate, NBC/NTC, and Advanced National Business Certificate/Advanced National Technical Certificate, ANBC/ANTC, examination results.

Its Registrar, Dr Aminu Mohammed,  who disclosed this yesterday at the board’s headquarters in Benin, said 60 percent of the candidates who sat for the examination recorded five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

“The timely release of these results, achieved within 64 days after the last paper, reflects our commitment to integrity, transparency and efficiency in the conduct of public examinations,” the registrar said.

According to him, a total of 61,591 candidates registered for the examination nationwide, comprising 57,444 ordinary level and 4,147 advanced level candidates

This, he said, marked a 28.42 percent increase in enrolment compared to 2024.

Mohammed noted that the examinations were conducted in 2,079 centres across the country, representing a 13.92 percent increase in the number of centres and demonstrating growing confidence in NABTEB examinations.

He said the performance varied across trade categories, with Construction Trades recording 79.32 percent, Engineering Trades 76.84 percent, Miscellaneous Trades 77 percent, while Business Trades recorded 52.07 percent.

“Overall, 57.32 percent of candidates were certified as craftsmen, while 56.52 percent qualified as master craftsmen,” he said.

The registrar added that 54,009 candidates, representing 94.74 percent, obtained five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics.

On examination malpractice, Mohammed said 259 candidates, representing 0.42 percent, were involved in examination malpractice, a slight decrease from the 0.53 per cent recorded in 2024.

“This reduction shows that our strengthened monitoring mechanisms and collaboration with security agencies are yielding results,” he said.

The NABTEB boss reaffirmed NABTEB’s commitment to support Nigeria’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training reforms through digital innovation and stakeholders collaboration.

“Our goal is to equip youths with 21st-century skills and position the country as a skilled destination hub in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.

Mohammed, who urged the candidates to check their results on the NABTEB portal, also disclosed that registration had commenced for the 2026 in-school NBC/NTC examinations.
