Insecurity: Buni Arrives N’Djamena for Strategic Engagements

Yobe State governor and Chairman of the Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum, Mai Mala Buni has arrived N’Djamena, Republic of Chad, for a strategic engagement over the security challenges bedeviling the region.

According to a statement signed by the Focal Person on Digital and Strategic Communications to the governor, Yusuf Ali, the visit is part of a follow-up to the resolutions adopted during the fifth governors forum meeting.

According to the statement, the forum seeks to address pressing issues affecting the region, including security, climate change and sustainable development.

It added that the high-level engagement in N’Djamena underscored Governor Buni’s commitment to foster regional collaboration and implement actionable solutions for the challenges confronting the Lake Chad Basin.
