The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has called on eligible Nigerians to take advantage of the remaining days of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, warning that the registration window will close on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The electoral body made the appeal in a public notice shared on its official X handle on Saturday, urging prospective voters not to delay their registration.
According to INEC, eligible Nigerians can complete the entire voter registration process online through its dedicated CVR portal or visit designated registration centres across the country for physical assistance.
“Your future won’t wait. Neither should you. The Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ends Sunday, 26 July 2026,” the commission stated.
INEC encouraged individuals who require assistance with the registration process to visit any of its state offices, local government area (LGA) offices, or other designated registration centres nationwide.
The commission also announced that all registration centres would remain open daily, including weekends, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the exercise concludes.
“You can complete your voter registration online from start to finish via cvr.inecnigeria.org. If you need assistance, visit any INEC State Office, LGA Office, or designated registration centre to complete your registration in person,” the commission added.
The CVR exercise forms part of INEC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, allowing eligible Nigerians who have not previously registered, as well as registered voters seeking to update or transfer their voter information, to be included in the national register of voters.
The commission urged citizens to complete the process before the deadline to avoid being excluded from participation in the next general elections.
