Managing Director of Jacob & Co Hospitality, Kunle Ilori-Diamond, has welcomed the decision of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, to convene a high-level meeting aimed at resolving the dispute surrounding his company’s property in Kuje, describing the move as an important step towards strengthening investor confidence and improving the ease of doing business in Nigeria.

The position was contained in a statement issued by the company and made available to journalists in Abuja.

According to the statement, Ilori-Diamond expressed confidence that the meeting would provide an opportunity for all parties to present their positions and facilitate a fair and transparent resolution after several months of seeking official intervention.

The company noted that concerns over the project had previously been brought to the attention of the relevant authorities and expressed appreciation that the FCTA had agreed to convene a meeting involving all stakeholders.

Jacob & Co Hospitality said it hopes the engagement will help clarify outstanding issues relating to the project and promote transparency, accountability and due process in the administration of development approvals.

The company further stated that it believes the outcome of the meeting will demonstrate the government’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment capable of attracting and protecting investment.

The FCTA has scheduled a comprehensive resolution meeting involving relevant officials and other parties connected to the dispute.

The meeting is expected to address the issues surrounding the Kuje project and explore an amicable way forward in accordance with applicable laws and administrative procedures.
