As the 2025 CGC Volleyball Premier League entered its final phase on Tuesday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, with Nigeria Customs Service, Offa VC, CNS Spikers, Sunshine of Ondo, and Kano Pillars all securing victories on Match Day 1.
Offa Volleyball Club of Ilorin opened the day in emphatic fashion, sweeping Kada Kings 3–0 with set scores of 25–19, 25–16, and 26–24.
CNS Spikers followed up with another straight-sets win, overpowering Correctional Service Volleyball Club 25–22, 25–20, and 25–18.
Sunshine of Ondo also proved dominant, defeating UCEM 3–0 with closely contested sets of 25–21, 25–20, and 25–22.
Nigeria Customs Service continued their fine form, dispatching NAF Rockets 3–0. Customs took control early and never looked back, recording set scores of 25–20, 25–15, and 25–18.
The most dramatic clash of the day saw Kano Pillars come from behind to beat COAS Spikers 3–1. COAS took the first set 25–22, but Kano Pillars roared back to claim the next three sets 25–16, 25–18, and 25–20 for a remarkable comeback victory.
Match Day 2 action resumes on Wednesday as teams continue their push for supremacy and the top honours in the final phase of the 2025 CGC Volleyball Premier League in Abuja.
