Buni Approves Implementation Of Revised Schemes Of Service For Polytechnics, Colleges

Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni has approved the implementation of the revised Scheme of Service for Polytechnics and Colleges of Education, including the execution of outstanding migration cases affecting staff in seven tertiary institutions. 

A letter dated July 23 and addressed to the Commissioner for Higher Education, Science and Technology, the Permanent Secretary (Establishment), Shuaibu Ibrahim Amshi, conveyed the approval of the governor. 

According to the letter, the approval covers two key areas: Revised Schemes of Service: Approval was granted for the implementation of the revised Yobe State Schemes of Service for Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.

The letter also said this includes the skipping of CONTEDISS 10 and 12 and CONPCASS 10 and 12 in promotions, in line with approved migration guidelines.

The governor also approved the implementation of outstanding cases of officers who were not captured during the previous migration exercise from seven tertiary institutions in the state.

However, the total financial implication for this approval amounts to N24,783,777.38, accordingly.

The letter indicated that copies had been sent to the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, as well as the auditor-general of the state for necessary action.
