BIPC Moves To Launch Food Basket Brewery, Receives Equipment

Benue Investment and Property Company Limited,BIPC,has disclosed that the company has taken delivery of 16 truckloads of equipment for the soon-to-be-launched Food Basket Brewery, located at Akile along the Makurdi-Gboko Road. 

Group Managing Director/CEO of the company Dr. Raymond  Asemakaha who received the equipments,at the company’s corporate headquarters in Makurdi, said the delivery marks the first batch of 50 truckloads expected from the People’s Republic of China.

He said the delivery is a direct result of Governor Hyacinth  Alia’s recent visit to China, aimed at fostering industrial investment in the state, expressing gratitude to the governorvfor his unwavering support to BIPC.

 Dr. Asemakaha further disclosed that the Food Basket Brewery is expected to commence production by the end of October this year. 

He said the factory which is designed with a daily production capacity of 10,000 crates, will create 200 direct jobs in the first phase and an additional 200 in the second phase, with potential for over 1,000 indirect job opportunities, adding that the brewery is also poised to tap into the estimated ₦1 billion monthly beer consumption market in Benue State.

 Dr. Asemakaha pledged BIPC’s commitment to Governor Alia’s industrialization agenda.

 In his remark,BIPC Company Secretary, Josephat Ioryoosu, commended Governor Alia, the GMD, and the entire management team for their dedication to the brewery project, stating that it is a strategic step toward stabilizing the state’s economy and creating employment for its youth.

 On her part,Head of Business Development and Strategy, Theresa Abeda, also lauded Governor Alia’s efforts in empowering BIPC to drive his industrial revolution.
