By MBACHU GODWIN, Abuja

Former National Secretary of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Sen. John Akpan Udoedehin has disclosed that the main opposition African Democratic Congress, ADC , will take over the reigns of power in his home State of Akwa Ibom.

Udoedehin, a Chieftain of the ADC and Akwa Ibom State Membership Revalidation and Registration Committee Chairman made this disclosure at the party’s flag off of membership Revalidation and Registration exercise in Abuja.

He recalled how he brought the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria , ACN, and the party in power , the All Progressive Congress, APC ,to Akwa Ibom State when nobody could wish to join the party, adding that today he has again brought a veritable platform, the ADC that will take over the reigns of power in the state come 2027 general election.

He said the party has been repositioned and restructured to gain more membership and support to dislodge the APC government in the state, adding that the Revalidation and Registration exercise will afford many Nigerians the opportunity to join the ADC , saying that Nigerians have rejected the APC.

” When I brought the ACN and APC in Akwa Ibom State, I was mocked at and attacked , accusing me of bringing a Yoruba party by the State government then under the leadership of Gods will Akpabio , now he Akpabio is enjoying what I labour for, so I saw far then what they didn’t see. Today , I have brought ADC to Akwa Ibom and we will take over the government “

Fielding question if he had made up with his estranged political foe, Sen. God’s will Akpabio, he explained that he had forgiven him and moved on with his political life, saying in politics ” No permanent enemy and permanent friend”
