Abu Dhabi Summit: Tinubu Departs For Europe  

President Bola Tinubu has departed Lagos for Europe as part of his end-of-year break and ahead of his official visit to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

This was contained in a statement issued by the presidential spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, in Lagos, yesterday.

Tinubu is scheduled to participate in the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, ADSW, 2026 Summit.

His visit followed an invitation by the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

ADSW 2026, which will hold early in January, is a week-long global platform that convenes leaders from government, business and civil society to shape the future of sustainable development.

The summit will be held under the theme: “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go”, focusing on linking ambition with action across innovation, finance and human capital.

The forum is expected to showcase pathways for advancing sustainable growth and global cooperation in a rapidly evolving world.

President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit. NAN
