In an intense and electriying atmosphere with much fun, the Nigeria Customs Volleyball Club defeated the defending champion Offa Volleyball club 3-1 at the ongoing Nigeria Volleyball Federation in collaboration with Comtroller-General of Customs national volleyball premier league for Men and Women tourney first Phase.
The ongoing tournament is taking place at Moshood Abiola National Stadium package B Abuja where all the players all over the country to play Volleyball.
In the game played with much excitement and expectation sees Customs team who lose the first set but weather the storm to take the day with 3-1 victory against Defending champion Offa VC of Ilorin
Kwara team Offa VC take the first set with 25-12 to draw the first blood. But determined Customs Team rose the occasion to win the remaining three sets with 25-18, 25-17 and 26-24 respectively.
In the second game played was the Kano Pillars and Nigeria Civil Defence and where Kano State Team club piped defenders team 3-2
The first and second sets went in favour of NSDSC with 25-22, 26-24 against Pillars.
In the third set, Pillars stood firm to turn things around win with 25-23 secure 25-19 in the 4th set and leave no stone unturned to secure 15-13 in the 5th set to win encounter with 3-2.
In the third games, CNS Spikers and Nigeria Police slugged out as CNS secure 3-2 a fierce battle between the two team.
Nigeria Police win the first set with with 25-22 but CNS Spikers win the Second set 25-19 as Police win third set with 25-22 but CNS Spiker rose to occassion to win 4th set with 19-25 and pick victory with 23-21.
